Message from the Pastor on the Coronavirus (COVID-19)

As you know, we are living in the last days. Jesus lets us know in Mt 24:7 there are going to be pestilences(epidemics). However, this is not a time to live in fear nor is it a time to panic for Jesus says in verse 6 “see that ye are not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.”

Apostle Paul also lets us know that God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind II Tim 1:7.  As well as, Ps 91:5-6“ Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness…”

Therefore, such a time as this, we need to stand on God’s Word. Such as “Surely He shall deliver us form the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence…and there shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling” Ps 91:3, 10.  Such as “In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” Jn 16:33.  Such as “I will never leave thee, nor forsake the thee” Hebrew 13:5.

So continue to fast and pray for our leaders of this country at all levels of government, our Doctors in health and medicine, our nation as a whole, especially our elderly, Pastors and every church door that stands open to give this world hope, the world, and the entire St Elmo Church family.  And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep (of spiritual complacency): for now is our salvation nearer than when we first believed (in Christ) Romans 13:11.

Now may the LORD bless you and keep you:  The LORD make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious unto you:  The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give the peace.
